I found this rather offensive for GLAM institutions, since most of GLAM institutions have the spread of knowledge amongst their missions. Maybe we can discuss if they fit to strategy or not, but if someone inside an institution that has that kind of mission is being paid for spreading that knowledge, we cannot assume that they are only doing it because they are being paid. Probably they are more aware about the importance of doing that job that other editors, who knows. Also you cannot assume the contrary, that all editors in Wikipedia do it because they are interested on free knowledge. You cannot assert something like this without running at least a short investigation to know why people edits Wikipedia.
