Thanks for your comments! This was an experiment and we are still feeling our way. I'm going to edit the first part to cut out the beginning stuff ("Is this thing working?"), but I probably don't have the time to edit the video down to the main points -- if anyone else does, I'd be happy to ship you the MP4 file. What I can do is note what was talked about and where in the video you can find it.
We're doing this to establish a regular get together for the GLAM US Consortium and a place for us to exchange ideas while we're still in a formative stage, and I think any tangible work will probably show up in other places so I'm not sure how much it's worth investing making this pretty.

Interesting, thanks for posting the link! I like that a viewer can have the feeling "you were there", but obviously it would be nice to just clip out all of the stuff about trying to find out how to share your screen, muting and unmuting microphones, and so forth. Is it possible to edit this Youtube version down to just the main points? Even if it means creating a new summary version on Youtube, that would be a start. I think it would be useful to bundle all GLAM Youtube videos into some Youtube channel like "GLAM Wiki Collaboration" or are you only interested in US-centric video footage?

Hello everyone!
**
The GLAM-Wiki US Consortium will be hosting the first GLAMout May 3rd noon-1 PDT. This is mostly an effort to get (and keep) momentum for our work, exchange information with one another. This is a forum for cultural professionals, Wikimedians, or any interested parties to learn and chat about GLAM activities. Our goal is to have an anchor topic each month and then to leave time for information exchange. We’ll be using Google Hangout on Air as a platform (which will also allow the sessions to be recorded).
