Adeline Koh was one of the big influencers who got me interested in Wikipedia a few years ago, especially as the gender gap relates to the digital humanities. It looks like she's at Stockton University in NJ near Atlantic City. Not sure if she's an active Wiki person anymore, but she would be great.

I also recommend Heather Hart from Black Lunch Table, though I'm not sure of her availability. Heather has been doing a great unheralded job with her initiative, which is focused on Visual artists of the African Diaspora and the gender gap. She has been actively conducting editathons across North America, with plans to do outreach internationally in the next year. She has presented at Wikipedia Day 2017 and at the recent unconference for Women Journalists that was at ThoughtWorks NYC shortly after the Inauguration.

The Black Lunch Table (BLT) is an ongoing collaboration between artists Jina Valentine (Fishantena (talk)) and Heather Hart (Heathart (talk)) which intends to fill holes in the documentation of contemporary art history. In its 10 year existence, the BLT has taken a variety of forms relating to this most recent iteration, in the form of the Wikipedia edit-a-thon. BLT’s aim is the production of discursive sites (at literal and metaphorical lunch tables), wherein cultural producers of color engage in critical dialogue on topics directly affecting our communities. They endeavor to create spaces, online and off, mirroring the activity and creativity present in sites where Blackness and Art are performed.

Also, Adeline Koh is at Rutgers, and historically did some really good stuff with Wikimedia, and Adrienne on minority women. She has been very successful at organizing these events, and getting significant contribs.

A couple years ago you did an intro to Wikipedia editing workshop for the Telling Untold Histories unconference at Rutgers-Camden. I'm wondering if you would be interested and available to do another intro workshop at our next unconference, which will be May 11, 2017 at Rutgers-Newark.

The unconference is attended by many cultural heritage professionals as well as community members, students, and educators. Our goal is to introduce attendees to the power of Wikipedia to insert lesser known stories into the discourse.
