Hi everyone!
Great news! I just learned that scholarship applications for Wikimania
2012 are now open!
*Wikimania 2012, Washington, D.C., USA
July 12-15, 2012*
*Scholarship applications are due Feb 16, 2012.*
I'm hoping we have a record breaking Wikimania this year - especially in
regards to women who attend! So for everyone who says "I can't afford
it," please consider applying for a scholarship. It helped me attend
Haifa, and it was a life changing experience that was well worth the
travel - you'll have a blast!

Please forward this link to anyone you believe may have interest! I hope
that people will inspire one another to apply for applications, as
sometimes it takes a nudge to feel confident enough to proceed with
applying. (I needed a nudge last year, thanks Lori!)
This will not only be a great chance to meet your fellow Wikimedians,
but its also a great chance to learn about projects, share your own
work, visit Washington, D.C. and also get to know other people
interested in the closure of the gender gap - as I have a feeling it'll
be a hot topic this year. And of course to geek the heck out about
Wikistuff and all things open source.
I hope to see you in Washington!
