I worked a bit with Kevin in addressing the underrepresentation of feminist
philosophy and women philosophers on Wikipedia. We posted something to
honor him on the Feminist Philosophers blog here
<https://feministphilosophers.wordpress.com/2016/08/01/rip-kevin-gorman-unsung-advocate-for-women-in-philosophy/>.
I didn't know Kevin that well, but I thought that those of you who did
might like to know about the post, or maybe comment or add or even correct
any inaccuracies, or maybe let other people who were close to Kevin know
about the post. I just added information about the post on his talk page--
I hope that's appropriate.
Best,
Alex

It breaks my heart that I am not able to post
condolences to his talk
page. I wanted to say so much about what he did for people behind the
scenes, how he kept this forum moderated and open for discussion after
arbcom closed down the gender gap project, and how when he talked, the
ideas rushed out of him as if he knew how little time he had, and could
overcome mortality itself in order to accomplish them, but in the end,
there are no words, there are no words.
