Hello,

There is going to be the 2nd edition of a regional article contest CEE Spring soon [1]
The concept (in a nutshell): every participating country from the region creates the list of articles, covering some important issues, and participants from other countries/language projects are to create the articles in their own language. The lists are organized like this [2], so you can see what language projects lack the article, say, about National Festival of Polish Song in Opole [3]

Last year we had a separate category for notable women [4], but this year there is a consensus that having a separate category is not okay, so it is better to include the articles about notable women in the general categories [5]

Today I have discovered that there is no article about [[Victoria Woodhull]] in my home Wikipedia :(

To raise awareness to some special topic during Wiki Loves Monuments photo contest, we in Ukraine had special nominations, for example, wooden architecture [6], so I thought maybe something like that can be suggested to the organizers of Wikimedia CEE Spring 2016. I mean having a separate list of, I do not know, 'People marking turning points' or something like that, and include there people that made difference (I would root for having there representatives of all genders, not only girls). Winning there can be awarded separately, the tricky thing would be to compose/balance the list...

I reckon it won't be as controversial as having a separate category based on sex.
But I wanted to have more thoughts about this idea of mine, so I shall be grateful for your comments.

P.S. Sorry for a long letter.
