My
understanding, having been part of the recent discussion on Meta about the
future of Wikimania, is that Wikimania 2017 will take place in Montreal
as scheduled. Beyond that, the question is whether the next Wikimania will be in
2018 or ‘19, since one of the options under consideration is making it a
biennial event rather than an annual one.
