A workable
WYSIWYG MediaWiki editor is the current holy grail of the developers. The
stumbling block, as I understand it, is that no one's found a way to make
templates work with one.
When someone
solves that problem, it will change Wikipedia and likely as not bring in more
editors. Thus the importance of addressing these issues before such an
influx.
