Hi Marta,
I absolutely love the app. It's both an amazing new lens through which to
explore Wikipedia, and a fantastic tool for oversight. One thing I noticed
when I was using it was that some of the most "controversial" articles --
by whatever algorithmic definition the app uses -- are actually very well
worded to avoid sexism/racism/mainsplaining and other phobias. That is
somehow either 1) by virtue of their controversiality or 2) because I
viewed them after they'd already been cleaned up, there was not much bias
to report.
It might be nice to have a "free of these biases" button available as well
as the canonical bias buttons. With this click the controversial
measurement might be decreased. This feedback loop, might keep the many
articles getting attention fresh.
Anyway, amazing work on the app, an exemplary blend of user interface and
bias-addressing theory.
Make a great day,
Max Klein ‽ http://notconfusing.com/
