Men's shelters would fall under the Men's rights article probation which should help somewhat. A talkpage notice would have to be added, but it certainly fits the category of "Pages related to Men's rights (broadly construed)" which fall under that probation.

Men's shelters definitely meet the level of coverage required by the
[[WP:GNG]] to have a separate article. Ideally, one wold exist. I'd
considered creating it myself previously, but I didn't want to deal
with the flood of men's rights advocates that invariably appear at
such articles. If anyone is willing to put the time/research in to
creating and then defending a good article, I think it would be a
worthwhile endeavor - but be warned there will be a lot of bullshit
and abuse involved. (And tangentially - the gender of the usernames
used won't really matter; I'm quite obviously a dude and have drawn
more flak from MRA's than anyone else on Wikipedia I'm pretty sure.)
