Does anyone know of a writing guide for this topic similar to WP:Writing about women? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Writing_about_women  All I have is a style guide from GLAAD. http://www.glaad.org/reference#guide

In particular, I have noticed the sources we would consider to be the most RS deal mostly with the BLP subject's reason for notability, while more socially-oriented publications may provide information about what year they transitioned/came out, whether they engaged in prostitution, the religious views of their family members, and what they eat for breakfast.  Is there a consensus somewhere about what is encyclopedic?

Thanks! I've been on a roll creating articles from the Women in Red list, but have found that some on the list are not actually women (cis or trans), but non-binary or trans men. That's a separate topic for discussion, but others are welcome to weigh on it here:

Done. The right-to-left scripts can be a challenge, especially if your keyboard is not set up for it. Sometimes it is easier to copy/paste.   It helps when these wikis have sets of brackets and double brackets at the bottom of the page so you can highlight something and format it easily.  Of course that only works if they have MediaWiki markup enabled as the default, as hewiki seems to, or if you can figure out how to disable the Visual Editor.

On the English Wikipedia there are some trans redlinks on the Women in Red list, LBT section: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Women_in_Red/LBT_Women

I just bluelinked one of them with a new article on Angelica Ross (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelica_Ross). I'd add the link to the DanVeg page, but I can't read Hebrew and am afraid of screwing up...

I'm noticing that most, if not all of the articles on that page already have English translations.  Is there a list of redlinks somewhere of articles that would be of importance to the transgender community that people could work on?

Here is one for the list: there is no article in Hebrew as yet for transgender rights activist Nisha Ayub, who received the International Women of Courage Award in 2016.

Many of the individuals who receive this type of award are in danger or have been imprisoned for their activities. Imagine the effect of having a Wikipedia page that pictures them standing next to a high-ranking government official. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Samar_Badawi&oldid=755359299#January_2016_arrest

Dear friends,

We're sorry to inform you that user:DanVag chose to end her life last week. User:Danveg was an active editor in HEWK and contributed mostly in the subject of gender and transgender issues. She was also an active volunteer in TLV Wikiwomen group. She guided newbies at Wikiwomen meetups with a lot of patience and kindness.

As she was part of the transgender community, we urge you to consider editing articles about transgender issues in her memory. Please add  the articles you edited to this page

Thank you,
