Hi Sharon

You will have to make a couple of changes depending on the version. The width is controlled by .row div class set at a max-width of 62.5em.

If you haven't created it, you can create “yourdomain.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Foreground.css” system message page.

Add

.row {

     max-width: 90%;

}

Then save. You may have to do a hard reload to clear the cache if you are already using the MediaWiki:Foreground.css system page.

You will also need to edit the JavaScript file in the foreground if you are using v1.2. If you are using a v2 you won’t have to change the JavaScript to fix the placement of the dropdown menu for “actions” button. Let me know which version and I’ll give you the code to change.

Tom

Subject: [Foreground] Increase page text width to 90% of available space, but how?

I'm just evaluating foreground for a new site that I'm developing, but I'm finding that the text in the middle of the screen is too narrow. I have text wrapping round the TOC's of my articles, and with the article text beside it, the whole page looks out of proportion. So how can I increase the text width to take up about 90% of the page width please?

Thanks

Sharon.
