I try to send out these emails on Tuesdays, apologies for the delay.
Over the next few days, wmf13 will be deployed to WMF wikis. We mostly worked on small fixes this week and on the cawiki deployment, so there aren't that many exciting things in wmf13. Some of the more noteworthy things new in wmf13 are:
- The table of contents dropdown ("Browse topics") in Flow was rewritten and now looks a bit different. It also no longer appears in non-JS mode (where it already didn't work).
- Flow diff views now have an undo link that lets you undo an edit to a post (undo links were already present in the history view). Diff views also no longer have duplicate "Older edit" / "Newer edit" links.
- Single lines in the grouped Recent Changes now have links that let you patrol Flow posts, just like multi-line groups already did.
wmf13 follows the standard deployment timeline, which is as follows:
- Tuesday 11am-1pm PDT: deployment to test wikis ("group 0"); for Flow, these are testwiki, test2wiki and mediawiki.org
- Wednesday 11am-1pm PDT: deployment to non-Wikipedia wikis ("group 1"); for Flow, these are meta, officewiki and wikidata
- Thursday 11am-1pm PDT: deployment to Wikipedias ("group 2"); for Flow, these are the English, French, Hebrew, Portugese, Catalan, Telugu, Russian, Punjabi and Chinese Wikipedias
In other news, we also plan to convert most of the remaining LiquidThreads pages on mediawiki.org to Flow soon, now that the last email spam bug is fixed. If everything goes well, this will probably happen late Thursday / early Friday UTC. We have already converted almost 300 pages; we plan to convert all remaining pages tomorrow, except for the Support desk and VisualEditor Feedback pages. See the Phabricator task for details.
