Welcome to the 1st edition of the  2024 EduWiki Newsletter and the year of EduWiki Connectors!

We are thrilled to present Volume 13 of This Month in Education, opening 2024 with an array of engaging updates:

• Cross-Continental Wikimedia Activities: An insightful dialogue reveals shared educational objectives between Wikimedia Malaysia and Estonia, bridging continents through collaboration.

• The Czech Republic's SWW program in 2023 and new partnerships for 2024 demonstrate impactful student engagement.

• Educational strides in Elbasan, Albania, with the latest on Wikipedia's role in education.

• The Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom Teacher’s Guide is now accessible in Bulgarian.

• Students at Auckland Museum delve into local history, contributing to Wikipedia as part of New Zealand's educational resources.

• In the Philippines, the Wiki Advocates Philippines initiated the WikiDunong Program, educating participants on Wikipedia's fundamentals.

• Wikimedia Armenia's November workshops empower students with editing skills and created Internship opportunities.

• The Wikimedia Foundation's first Child Rights Impact Assessment evaluates the influence of Wikimedia projects on young learners.

It’s been 13 years of EduWiki Newsletter excellence!! 

We have shared inspiring Wikimedia Education program stories, innovative ideas, and challenges overcome, fueling a global surge in Wikimedia Education programs among Wikimedians. Our collective efforts have not only amplified these narratives but have also intensified our commitment to open educational outreach.

The Unveiling of EduWiki Connectors!!

In this pivotal rebranding to EduWiki Connectors, we will be enhancing our focus on regional stories and successes.  Each region will benefit from dedicated EduWiki Connectors, who will assist Wikimedians in showcasing their EduWiki initiatives in the newsletter.
