Dear Wikimedians,
I hope you are having a good start to the month. After a short break from
our community organizing work, we have developed new strategies to
establish processes and mechanisms for community collaboration and
support. This
strategic document
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Community_Support_Strategy,_Education.pdf>
provides more information on our community engagement spaces, our strategic
goals, and the values associated with our work. You can find a detailed
summary of the strategy document on the diff
<https://diff.wikimedia.org/2021/10/05/promoting-more-inclusive-and-equitable-support-for-the-wikimedia-education-community/>
blog
<https://diff.wikimedia.org/2021/10/05/promoting-more-inclusive-and-equitable-support-for-the-wikimedia-education-community/>.
There you will find various spaces of participation and how you can
participate. We will update you about any upcoming events and opportunities
on the education mailing list and the diff calendar
<https://diff.wikimedia.org/calendar/>.
Starting in October 2021, the Wikimedia Foundation educational team will
support the community by providing new and refreshed spaces for
participation and collaboration, as well as specialized support. This will
help the community to thrive by elevating their needs, strengthening the
capacities of the community, and fostering the well-being of the community.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. We look forward to
collaborating with you soon!
Best!
Sailesh
