It was a private chat over dinner so I don't want to attach this person's name to a particular opinion, but there's no secret that we've been doing outreach with Jisc (jisc.ac.uk) which employs some very influential people in the education sector.
The higher education system here in the UK is rather top-down compared to, say, the US, so my education outreach work has targeted management, national advisory bodies and people whose research area is open education, as well as university teaching staff.
