Hello all, thank to Juan for his report

Hello Mina, thanks for info :)

I am another of the participants of the CAP-like project with ISP.

======= Some more info: =========

****Generally****
We here in Czech Republic do gather several Wikimedians who are interested to start more serious collaboration with institution of higher education. Being inspired by CAP, we try to start our own collaboration projects over here too.

While we try to build our infrastructure/resources and rethink/familiarise ourselves with the concept and all the options we can offer to the teachers, we have several interested parties already. Several of them are Universities with interest to give seminar assignments to students to write articles in Czech Wikipedia (i.e. in Czech language) as seminar work, e.g. Charles University of Prague,  Faculty of Science  [1], University of Pardubice Faculty of restoration [2][4], Department of the History of Art of Palacky University in Olomouc [3][4]...

Moreover there seems to be other institutions interested in collaboration with Wikimedia/Wikipedia in english language. (We were little bit unprepared for this first, nevertheless given the wealth of resources on outreach wiki, it makes sense, and it is looking so far optimistically).

****ISP****
International School of Prague is (high end) high school offering high quality education to children with english as their primary language (or having similar skill in english).   ISP  above mentioned by Juandev is one of the (two) institutions interested in collaboration with english Wikipedia.

While we are in the midst of explaining the essentials of Wikiwork to the teachers, I am just now personally concerned about, how to find the best approach, best assignment for high school kids. (By profession I am scientist, so my primary concern were University students).

Have a good time
Regards

Petr Skupa [[U:Reo On]]

Even though  we hope we can find the best fitting syllabus in collaboration with the teachers of the above-mentioned school (they are very professional and very attentive), might you have any advices, any tips?

Hello from Greece, and good luck to your initiative! It seems very promising, I hope you send us feedback from the efforts, as a Wikipedia editing campaign is also active in Greece, and teachers such as myself are interested in ways to encourage Wikipedia editing in the classroom.

A curious coincidence is that I presented a Wikipedia editing workshop at an education event in Prague just two months ago... here is the article I wrote on outreach:

I have been integrating Wikipedia in all our school projects since 2007, it is the perfect "platform" for sharing knowledge gained by students and teachers in the course of a school assignment. Also, don't forget that contributing multimedia to Commons is of a world-wide benefit, transcending country and language borders...:)))

Subject: [Wikimedia Education] Wikipedia on International School of Prague

Hi folks,

I would like to announce a cooperation between Wikipedia and International School of Prague (ISP)[1] which starts now. Czech Wikipedians had already visited three times ISP. On first two sessions we had agreed that there is a will to get Wikipedia to ISP and go for a long term cooperation based on creation of the new article and further understanding of this web resource.

Third meeting held today and it was traing of teachers and answering their questions. We will continue with this training and we will start to work on getting Wikipedia to teacher's syllabus on the next meetings. You can see the development via the project page (pages News and Feedback).[2]

Regards,
Juandev
