Laura,

Interesting idea! If you’re interested in expanding your research, I have SCT (sluggish cognitive tempo – a developmental disorder of the brain that causes extreme fatigue during brain usage) that is complicated by surface dyslexia. I haven’t personally met anyone else with SCT, but it’d be interesting to learn whether they have similar contribution styles. Interestingly, research has shown SCT people tend to show a degree of magnetism toward research despite the fatigue it induces.

Subject: [Wikimedia Education] Editing patterns on English Wikipedia for cohorts with mental disorders and learning disabilities

http://wikinewsreporter.wordpress.com/2014/01/24/editing-patterns-on-english-wikipedia-for-cohorts-with-mental-disorders/

It took a few days of writing, research and playing with Wikimetrics, but this is a piece of research I did about how people with mental disorders and learning disabilities contribute to English Wikipedia.  It specifically looks at OCD, social anxiety, autism, Asperger's Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia.

I haven't seen any research specifically related to this topic, so if anyone has any feedback it would be appreciated.  It would also be appreciated if anyone has any links to research they have seen on this topic as it would be very interesting to read.

Sincerely,
Laura Hale
