Just to let you all know, I started a discussion on prerequisites at 
<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Ambassadors#Prerequisites.2C_we_need_them">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Ambassadors#Prerequisites.2C_we_need_them</a>  Basically, I said that pretty much every non-Freshman course has prerequisites of one sort or another and that by not requiring prerequisites we&#39;re sort of throwing them off into the deep end before checking to see whether they can swim.  If this is meant for non-Freshmen, then these students should first meet basic prerequisites.  If this is meant to be a Freshman-level course, well, they&#39;re sort of editing rather esoteric and complex concepts in general for Freshman, aren&#39;t they?<div>
