Hello,
After our code release <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T124713> and
analysis (ppt review
<https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1tCN46zLp7r_Bdkh0To7hp-ryfWBS6ILVkjKoD8ZXXaE/edit#slide=id.g83d053e0c_1_33>
| specific analysis pdf
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Analysis_of_Wikipedia_Portal_Traffic_and_JavaScript_Support.pdf>)
of removing inline JavaScript on the
Wikipedia.org portal page (it's now a
separate, downloadable file), we would like to do a bit more analysis on
the portal page.
Specifically:
1. Determine mobile vs desktop visitors to the Portal page
2. Investigate the percentage of traffic that the portal gets from
various search engines (to be displayed something like this
<http://discovery.wmflabs.org/external/#traffic_by_engine> but on the Portal
Dashboard <http://discovery.wmflabs.org/portal/>)
Please respond to this email if there are additional analysis that you'd
like to see done on the Portal page that would be helpful.
Cheers,
Deb
