In the ongoing initiative towards a design-first Wikimedia Design System and its toolkit named Codex (demo link), we will have all our design resources in Figma. We've started the discussion about sharing those further as “Community files” a while ago. Community files were the best option looking forward to sharing this part of our work.

We are in the process of clarifying some legal questions on licensing, and preparing the resources with an improved structure. We aim to have them shared in the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime please follow the task and #Codex development in case you are interested and use the available design resources of the Style Guide, containing components in Sketch or as SVGs.

Would it be possible to gain access to the Wikimedia design component Figma library by joining the design Figma team, even if I'm not part of the actual design team? 

I'm making mockups of various ideas (Wikimedia.org, Watchlist) for Wikimedia sites using OOUI Figma components copied to the documents and would love to have access to the components directly to improve my workflow.
