Our goal here is to avoid doing an immediate revert in Common.css before people actually have time to try the changes and see if they like them. My comment (saying that we've been discussing this for five months, and that polling is not a substitute for discussion) is the argument that I think holds water. I don't think anyone reading via the mailing list should feel there is a need to try and weight the poll in favor of opposing a change. Rather, we should remind the community members who are seeing this for the first time that this was not a sudden change, but one that has been building for months.
