Personally I think it would be more useful use of time to get event logging up and running in some form to work out what is the best way of dealing with this problem and if it is a problem before coding anything...

I think default collapsed is good but would be nice to have one place to click to "expand all" sections, instead of one-by-one.

I thought about such a button too. It's on my todo, I'll put something together for the experimental mode when I have some time.
