I have a feeling the "W" (or other symbol depending on the language) is pretty solid for most latin-language Wikipedia's, but falls apart quickly otherwise...

Inline image 1 Sweet - the double-V is pretty recognizable, and holds up in a lot of latin languages.

Inline image 2 Crap, ウ is a symbol for the sound "eye"

Inline image 3 Fail. I'm not a Chinese speaker, but 维 translates, all by itself, to "Dimension"
