It will cause a flash on pretty much all browsers period.
To be clear here: I tested it on the browsers I previously mentioned. It doesn't cause a flash on anything except older versions of IE.
It might do on say, very old versions of Opera, but I tested on everything that had a 1% of greater share of our readership, according to the matrix James F. put together.
