I used your wireframe and

as a starting point. The images on top aren't solving any purpose as
there *will* be more images on bottom. It was also looking pretty
messy as you had warned me on IRC. Can the thumbnails at the bottom be
sorted on the basis of popularity/votes?

You mention in the proposal that the page is meant to give an overview
of the campaign. I thought mentioning some important stats might help.
