I think everyone agrees with that. Having the same visual importance as the login action is not quite what Jon and Adam were suggesting though. 

The secondary CTA on desktop is half the size of the primary action and several lines below it. Being secondary doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't emphasize something more than with a plain text link.
