Shahyar do you have a patch to move Flow's implementation[2] into core mediawiki.ui? It's in Flow's mw-ui-enhance.js but not in your https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/125836/ patch.

It's worth noting that in addition to this Shahyar has built something similar on Flow [1] but it currently doesn't use OOUI either. It however does use similar styling. It would be worth reaching out to the Flow team and see if it would be possible for your two teams to build something that leverages oojs/ooui and is flexible enough to meet your two use cases that can be called 'standard'.

Also think of the mobile.. the current tipsy controls are terrible on mobile and I'd appreciate if you can poke at the design and get it into a more mobile friendly state.
