Definitely - all of this is in the cards. I have a lot of ideas about
how I'd like it to look.
What I don't have is a lot of experience editing the wordpress template
system.

Hi all - I know there have been challenges in getting this group going
- and I thank Sean and the others for their patience.
Barring an IRC meeting (and I do want to participate there as well) I
have a couple of quick questions.
How many do we have on this group list altogether? I should probably
be able to find that out on the list page.
Secondly, we've now got the software in place for a wordpress blog at
blog.wikimedia.org. It's in the freezer for now (i.e. not operating
:) but not for long.
What I'm wondering is if we have any pros on this list, or if we could
recruit someone, who could revamp the graphics template slightly to
make it look a bit more wikimedia-esque. It will always be on a page
all its own, but I'd at least like it to look/feel as much like the
WMF wiki as possible.
Eventually we want to unleash some new mediawiki coding/functionality
that will allow us to have blogging convention built right into the
mediawiki system - so there'd be no transition. I suspect a huge
number of media wiki users would treasure this option.
Any thoughts? Let's discuss...
Just as a suggestion, I would replace the WikiMedia Fundraising logo,
with perhaps "Wikimedia Blog".

I'll take a look tonight, I have never done WordPress in the past. If
after reviewing Wordpress, I have a grasp and some ideas, I'll post
tomorrow. :)
