Hello, If you click on an image at (en.) Wikipedia that is from hosted on Commons you get to a page with the text: "This is a file from the Wikimedia Commons. The description on its description page there is shown below. Commons is a freely licensed media file repository. You can help. " The words "You can help" link to the image upload form at Commons:Upload/en. I think it would be better if "You can help" would link to Commons:Welcome, which gives an introduction and lists several ways in which one can help the Commons. It is a lot more friendly for potential contributers than just showing them the upload form, and lets people know you can contribute in other ways than just uploading images.
