Are Wikidata QRank scores located at https://qrank.wmcloud.org/ still being hosted and supported by the WikiMedia Cloud Services? Currently, the site throws 500 errors and is preventing downloading the most recent set of QRank data. Is this a known intermittent issue, or is that data being permanently removed? If being removed, are there are other sources hosting that data?

Wikimedia Cloud Services provides the compute infrastructure that https://qrank.wmcloud.org and several other services depend on, but we're not directly involved with operating that particular service and don't know the specific status of it.

I moved it to Toolforge, a more modern (Kubernetes-based) infrastructure, to reduce manual maintenance. https://qrank.toolforge.org/
What would have been a good way to reach out to you and other users? I had filed a bug on the project repo as FYI, but that's obviously not been enough. Should there be a separate mailing list for qrank? But it wouldn't get much traffic. Or would it be ok to send qrank-related announcements to this list here, even though most people probably wouldn't care? https://github.com/brawer/wikidata-qrank/issues/50

Maybe create a redirect from old URL to new URL?

As Daniel Zahn mentioned in his reply, a redirect from the old url to the new one is a good way to handle this. I run the redirects Cloud VPS project [0][1] as a convenience for doing this sort of thing for various projects that started in a Cloud VPS project that have now moved to Toolforge or WMF production.
I peeked into your Cloud VPS project and found that all of the instances have been deleted, so I decided to proactively setup a redirect for you. https://qrank.wmcloud.org/ will now redirect folks to your active service at https://qrank.toolforge.org/.
When you are thinking about it, you could file a task on the Cloud VPS project-requests workboard linked to your original project creation request [3] asking for the now unused qrank Cloud VPS project to be deleted. No big deal if you don't, but it will save you from nag emails in the future asking you if you are still using the project. :)

Oh, there's no need anymore for a dummy Cloud VPS project when a Toolforge project (such as qrank) uses object storage? The Wikitech user guide https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Object_storage_user_guide#Toolforge still says so.

Oh yes, if your project is using object storage then you do have a use for the Cloud VPS project. We have not yet come up with a system that gives Toolforge tools their own direct access to the object store.
