I don't know what redis is (will google it tomorrow).

So maybe my response was off-topic.

Since you asked what stat1001 was about, I just told what it means to me. J

Does stats.wikimedia.org use redis?

I'm aware of stat1002 and stat1003.  What is on stat1001?  When I try to log into the host at 'stat1001.eqiad.wmnet', I get a timeout error.

The two links on wikitech don't either don't resolve or redirect to a labs domain.  See https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Stat1001

I may have asked this before, if so, apologies!

Anyone know why we have redis running on stat1001?  If not, we will uninstall it.
