Some people on this list may be interested in the emerging area of Learning Analytics – trace data (from click-streams, to eye tracking, to chat logs, etc.) gathered for the support of learning.  I’ve written a couple of posts on how mediawiki (and Wikipedia) might relate to this topic, e.g.:
