We already asked Evan for the (absolute) count of total edits aggregated at the country level to generate the city-level global fractions in the same way as you suggested. He could not (or possibly did not have the time to) point us towards the required data.

Can you please tell us from where we can source the data (of absolute total edit counts per country per month)?
