So I went to the Ghana Wikiproject today and noticed a message.1
tl;dr: The Wikimedia Netherlands has donated some 2,000 historic images, going back as far as almost a century related to Africa, South America and Southeast Asia.2
Specifically to Ghana, I doubt those images (very old) could be found anywhere, such as this 1953 image of Fort Amsterdam. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Fort_Kormantin#/media/File:Fort_Amsterdam,_schietgat_bastion_-_20652263_-_RCE.jpg 3
I am impressed and really thankful for such a generous donation to Wikimedia Commons relating to Ghana's history.
Now I guess it's about time we put those images to use!
I hope more are shared as and when they become available. Kudos, WMNL.
Checkout the category to find images about your country too. I've seen Guinea Bissau in there somewhere.

Wow
We are happy that this has come to fruition. This is part of the Netherlands and the World https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Nederland/The_Netherlands_and_the_world project by WMNL and a digital
repatriation project initiated as part of the GLAM Ghana project.
Hopefully we can have access to our historical stuff and even there are more on its way.
