Happy New Year to All!

Following a successful pilot testing phase, AfLIA wishes to announce that registration has opened for applicants to enroll in the Wikipedia in African Libraries (#WikiAfLibs) Course - Cohort 1.

AfLIA therefore, invites all African library educators and librarians in all library types and from every country on the continent to apply and be part of the online learning program, fully funded by the Wikimedia Foundation

Among others, the Course will teach African librarians how they can better assist their user communities to use Wikipedia, tell their stories by themselves on a very visible global platform and also nurture relationships between Wikipedia communities in Africa with libraries.

We are interested in reaching many others from your country, who may equally be interested in benefiting from this important initiative. We encourage you to circulate news about the Call among your colleagues, friends, supervisors, instructors, students etc. in the library and information sector.
