The second edition of the Africa Wiki Challenge is set to begin in the month of May 2022. In the maiden edition of the contest, the campaign saw contributions from 184 participants from 12 countries, creating over 1163 articles and improving about 2.5K articles on Wikipedia.
The theme for the second edition of the contest is “Projecting Africa.” Considering the diversity of participants in the contest, we are expecting active participation from diverse communities.
We are making an open call for volunteers across the continent to support this year's Africa Wiki Challenge in the following ways;
Sub-regional coordinators (e.g. East Africa, North Africa, etc.)
Translators to help translate our meta page and other communication materials into various local languages.
Interpreters for French, Hausa, Swahili, etc to support us with interpretation during our Launch webinar on 25th May 2022.

La deuxième édition de l'Africa Wiki Challenge devrait débuter au mois de mai 2022. Lors de la première édition du concours, la campagne a vu les contributions de 184 participants de 12 pays créant plus de 1163 articles et améliorant environ 2,5 000 articles sur Wikipédia.
Le thème de la deuxième édition du concours est "Projecting Africa". Compte tenu de la diversité des participants au concours, nous nous attendons à une participation active de diverses communautés.
Nous lançons un appel ouvert aux volontaires à travers le continent pour soutenir l'Africa Wiki Challenge de cette année des manières suivantes ;
Coordonnateurs sous-régionaux (par exemple, Afrique de l'Est, Afrique du Nord, etc.)
Des traducteurs pour aider à traduire notre page méta et d'autres supports de communication dans diverses langues locales.
Des interprètes pour le français, le haoussa, le swahili, etc. pour nous soutenir dans l'interprétation lors de notre webinaire de lancement le 25 mai 2022.
