Greetings,

We would  like to notify you all about upcoming calls to discuss the Wikimedia Movement Charter [1] and its impact on the African community. These calls would happen on Tuesday, 22nd June at 7:00pm UTC for French-language session and Wednesday, 23rd June at 7:00pm UTC for English-language session.

The movement charter is one of the various outcomes of the Wikimedia 2030 Strategy, and it is envisioned as a document which would define the roles and responsibilities for all the members and entities of the Wikimedia Movement, including the laying out of a new Global Council [2] for movement governance.

The Movement Charter is a movement Strategy priority and a broad ratification process is expected for its adoption. Hoping to see you all at the meetings!

Kindly,

Sam.
