Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos (WPWP) is an annual campaign where Wikipedia
editors across the world, Wikipedia language projects and communities add
photos to Wikipedia
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Wikipedia> articles
lacking photos.
It was launched last year in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic to engage
volunteers in simple editing tasks and to ensure that digital media files
collected from various Wikimedia photography contests, photowalks
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Photowalks> organized by
the Wikimedia
community
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia_community>,
are used on Wikipedia article pages where they are lacking.
We want to thank everyone involved in the planning and all the participants
for their works.
Regards.
