Good day all,

As a result of a partnership between the Wikimedia Foundation and AfLIA, we are pleased to announce the Wikipedia in African Libraries Project ( #WikiAfLibs).

For starters, the project aims to produce an adapted curriculum to train at least 300 LIS professionals in Africa, who will be able to carry out community outreaches and help their different user communities to be adept at using Wikipedia for learning, research and telling their own stories.

But before that, we'd really like to hear from you. Your input will be valuable in shaping the content and structure of the proposed course, means and patterns of delivery, among others. You are invited to participate in the pre-research survey (link below) and spread the word far and wide.....

Thanks in advance....
