Hello All,

We are delighted to share that Celsause Ogbonnaya has been selected as the WiR for the Africa Knowledge Initiative (AKI). Please join us in welcoming Ceslause to his new role!

In our last community conversation for AKI, we mentioned the opportunity for community organizers to get more involved with the project. I am glad to share that for the next phase of the project, we will be opening calls for 3 meta organizers (affiliates, institutions, and individuals) to lead campaigns focused on the selected AU holidays:
  • Africa Youth Day – Nov 1, 2022
  • Environment/Wangari Maathai Day – Mar 3, 2023
  • African Day – May 25, 2023
Join us at the next AKI community conversation via zoom (https://wikimedia.zoom.us/j/84828700950) on the 19th of August, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm UTC as we share more information about the application process and how you can be a part of the initiative.

You may also send your questions, thoughts, or feedback to us at campaigns@wikimedia.org

Best wishes,
