The Call for Projects [1] for  Wiki Mentor Africa Hackathon 2025![2] is now open! 🎉

Do you have a technical project that needs contributions? Or a testing initiative that could use more hands? This is your opportunity to engage with African contributors, gain valuable input, and even have your project translated into multiple African languages!

We welcome  Code or documentation-related projects. Your project should:
✅ Be beginner-friendly, with well-defined subtasks in Phabricator
✅ Provide mentorship and guidance to participants
✅ Have clear goals and outcomes

If you’d like to submit a project for Wikimedia Hackathon 2025, follow these steps:

1. Create a task on Phabricator[3].(Tutorial)[4]

2. Add the #WMA-Hackathon-2025 tag.

3. Move it to the "Hacking Projects" column on the Hackathon Phabricator Workboard.[5]

For guidance, check out this project proposal template.[6]

If you already have an existing project, simply add the #WMA-Hackathon-2025 tag your Phabricator task and move it to the "Hacking Projects" column on the Phabricator Workboard.[7]
