The Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees has approved a new sister project, temporarily titled "Abstract Wikipedia" [2]. 

Its goal is to generate baseline encyclopedic content in a multilingual fashion, allowing more contributors and more readers to share more knowledge in more languages. You can learn more on Meta [1] and can also join the new dedicated mailing list [3].
