Hello everyone, it’s hard to believe we’re approaching the end of Open Data Week 2025! This week, we’ve enjoyed building tools, creating visualizations, mapping, coding, and thinking of data through a critical lens.

But most of all, we’ve enjoyed connecting with you and learning your stories. Thank you to those of you who have joined us so far! 🫶🏾 If you haven’t joined us yet, no fear—we’re not done yet! There are still plenty of events coming up.

March 28 at 10 am EDT - Discovering NYC Open Data: An Introductory Class. Come learn how to use NYC Open Data with the NYC Open Data Ambassadors! Join us for an online workshop where you’ll learn the fundamentals of using NYC Open Data. March 28 at 6 pm EDT - Open Data Lightning Talk Showcase. Join the NYC Office of Technology & Innovation for a lightning talk showcase, featuring open data use cases about the human brain, the environment, web domains, trash cans, and film locations.

🏫 Coming up at NYC School of Data 🏫

Continue the NYC Open Data Week 2025 celebrations this Saturday at NYC School of Data! Join us at CUNY School of Law; we’ll have 30+ sessions that demystify the policies and practices surrounding open data, public interest technology, and service design. Register today and check out the schedule! We also have ASL translation upon request, scholarships (deadline is extended to tomorrow at 12 pm!), and solidarity tickets – which help to support scholarships.
