Working Group is organizing three events to help illustrate Wikipedia in
Spanish, French, and Portuguese with images from the institutions' South
American and African collections enriched with structured data on Wikimedia
Commons.
The events will feature presentations about BHL, its Wikimedia working
group, and the activities of their Wikimedian in Residence with structured
data, as well as how to add images to Wikipedia articles. The
expeditions and production context of the illustrations that led to the
construction of BHL's collections will also be discussed.
These events will happen in their languages (Spanish, French, and
Portuguese) and also have live interpretation in English.

Be fluent in English or French (Bilingual is a plus)

Have a keen interest in digital rights and youth civic engagement

Have experience organising edit-a-thons and other Wikimedia events.
6.
Have experience building topic lists and facilitating technical training.
7.
Have experience fact-checking content on Wikipedia or be willing to
learn.
8.
Have experience in community mobilisation.
9.
Possess an interest in the fellowship’s thematic (Cybersecurity and
Personal Data Protection, e-democracy, digital mobilisation in social
movements, SDG16, freedom of expression, and human rights, among others)
focus.
10.
Be an active contributor to Wikipedia and/or Wikidata with a verifiable
portfolio.
11.
Have no history of blocks or sanctions on Wikimedia projects.
12.
Demonstrate the ability to track contributions and submit reports
efficiently.
13.
Be willing to participate in mentorship, training, and outreach
activities.
14.
Comply with AWA’s and Wikimedia policies on attribution, privacy, and
friendly space guidelines.

Cette initiative, portée par l’African Wikipedian Alliance, vise à combler
les lacunes en matière de contenu sur Wikimedia en lien avec la Convention

mouvements sociaux, l’ODD 16, la liberté d’expression et les droits humains
dans la région du Sahel, en Afrique de l’Ouest voisine et dans la Corne de
l’Afrique.
Détails de la bourse :
• Nombre de bourses : Jusqu'à 6 boursiers
• Durée : 6 mois
• Montant de la bourse : Chaque boursier recevra une allocation mensuelle
de 300 USD
• Soutien supplémentaire : Formation pratique en vérification des faits et
en techniques Wikimedia, incitations pour les contributeurs, mentorat
individuel et accompagnement continu par l'équipe Communautés et Académie
de CfA.
Les candidats doivent :
1.
Être un Wikimédien enregistré avec au moins deux (2) ans d’expérience en
tant qu’éditeur et appartenir à un groupe d’utilisateurs organisateur
d’événements.
2.
Idéalement résider dans la région du Sahel, en Afrique de l’Ouest
voisine ou dans la Corne de l’Afrique (des candidatures exceptionnelles

l’animation de formations techniques.

Avoir de l’expérience en vérification des faits sur Wikipédia ou être
prêt à apprendre.

Avoir une expérience en mobilisation communautaire.

S’intéresser aux thématiques de la bourse : cybersécurité et protection

The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for candidates to join the Global
Resource Distribution Committee (GRDC

This new body will be responsible for managing the Community Fund and set
the policy and strategies for its distribution.
This committee will establish principles and standards for funding
allocation, improve and adjust the existing process, and provide
recommendations to WMF regarding the Community Fund.
