We have heard a lot of your complains about the difficulties you face trying to attend meetings on IRC. We decided to check with a few of you what could best suit and ease your learning comfort. We then created an AWMD Slack channel.
The IRC channel remains available and welcoming but we shall be hosting most of our meetings and discussions on Slack. We are hoping this platform will be more comfortable for you all in acquiring skills and getting engaged.

Personal thought: On a side note, a good thing to have will be a bot that brings all slack conversations to IRC in real-time, just to have the 2 channels in sync. If anyone is interested in doing that please write to me, let talk about it and hopefully build it. :)
