In addition, after you create your phab account, make sure to subscribe (add yourself as a member) to the AWMD work-board here: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/members/2858/ [2]. It's important you add yourself as a member of the group (especially if you're from Africa and a Developer) in order to follow activities going on to stay up to date.

Wikimedia has been selected to participate in Google Summer of Code 2018 as a mentoring organization. So if you intend to apply, join us on IRC here: #wikimedia-dev-africa.
