Only way I can think of is to improve the Lua <-> PHP API so that users
can make the queries directly.
Patches welcome. Keep in mind that we don't want to be fetching huge
pagelists many times per page, so most such functions should probably be
marked expensive, should have a reasonable maximum limit on results per
call, and the database queries must be well-indexed.
