Once/if VE becomes production ready and performant, every page could load
right in to the editor. No more pressing edit, just edit. This should
happen.

nice idea but i doubt it is right now possible
it has such a small progress bar at the right top and such unreadable
light-shade text while it loads
VE is also dog slow
I think I should have snuck in a note about it being in the Glorious Future.
also having edit by default means a lot of people would save rubbish edits
a LOT LOT more people
with not assuming bad faith, i objectively see vast potential for
accidental editing here
I don't know about the accidental edits if you still need to press
Save. More vandalism? Maybe. More vandal fighters too. I'm still a fan of
pending changes on all BLPs (to limit potentially harmful edits to real
persons) and on Good and Featured articles (to prevent degradation of
articles on which a drive by edit is less likely to improve the article).
How pending changes could work with booting in to the editor is something
to figure out still. Glorious Future and all that.
