The precise method does not matter as Google does not do anything to
remove spammers from their services. A good example is for instance
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.javascript which is full of
Google porn and pill spam from Google users. abuse(a)google.com is the
proper role account for reports if you feel strongly about wasting
your time.
I think OpenID is a great way to consolidate identities
across
multiple wikis, and to identify contributors semi-formally, however,
if OpenID providers are easy for spammers to infiltrate, I'll have to
rethink the whole approach.
(Spammers can easily be their own OpenID provider.)
